·  ·  ·  · ·  | Lake-Neusiedl 115,5m hung. Fertoe-to, croat. Niuzaljsko jezero, slov. Nezidersko jezero is the second largest steppe lake in Central Europe, straddling the Austrian–Hungarian border. The lake covers 285 km², of which 220 km² is on the Austrian side and 65 km² on the Hungarian side. The lakes drainage basin has an area of about 1.120 km². Town and villages on Lake Neusiedl are Moerbisch - Rust - Oggau - Donnerskirchen - Purbach - Breitenbrunn - Winden - Jois - Neusiedl - Weiden - Gols - Podersdorf - Illmitz - Apetlon - Fertod - Sarrod - Fertoszeplak - Hegyko - Fertohomok - Hidegseg - Fertoboz - Balf - Fertorakos. Rust on Lake-Neusiedl 124m, hung. Ruszt, croat. Rusta and with about 1.900 inhabitants it is the smallest country and statutory city.
